What are your favorite, easy, healthy snacks? I need some new ideas. We do a lot of cheese and crackers and fruit...but the troops are getting bored with those, so I need to mix it up a bit...what are your thoughts?

We have a 4 month old and our pediatrician recommended that we start him on solids starting with cereal. I'm not all that excited about it because he's so young and because rice cereal is like cardboard, there's not much by way of nutrients in it. I've mixed it with breastmilk and formula and he turns his nose up to it. Any ideas of what else I can try for his "first foods". I don't think I'm as adventurous as Jon and Shannon to try pesto :)

All. The. Time. My kids swear they are STARVING from the minute they wake up until the minute they go to sleep at night. If they have just had a meal, I tell them they can have water, if it is snack time, I will offer 2 choices. They will have a snack and then still want more...of something. So what do you suggest? They eat plenty of food at meals, their meals are balanced....

I was reading an article the other day about how in different cultures, babies are introduced to solids with spices in them. The article went on to suggest that introducing some spices to our little ones early on may help them be braver when it comes to new tastes. Since Benny is just starting out with food, I'd like to test this out. Does anyone have any suggestions?

With the non-existence of food served on airplanes these days, how do I keep my toddler happy on long flights? Does anyone have any suggestions for food that will keep for a 4-5 hour flight?

My husband and I are trying to find family-friendly restaurants, both at home and when we travel. Are there any good websites or books where we can find some recommendations?

We're lucky and our daughter is generally great at a restaurant. But, that still doesn't mean it's a very enjoyable time for us. Even when she does her best, we still find ourselves tense and anticipating the worst. And tips for planning ahead and being ready for anything when the family goes out?!

We have been in a bit of a mac-n-cheese rut for an embarassingly long time. It can be made ahead, has the calories she needs, we add beef to give iron (okay, there are a ton of excuses.) But I need help! She can't quite grasp a real sandwich yet and is at a nut-free facility (so no PB&J.) What do you pack for your toddler's lunch?

My son is slightly anemic and going through an anti-meat phase. What are some tricky ways to incorporate more iron into his diet?

How do you handle a 2 year old's "No Thank You!" phase when it comes to food? At what point will he return to the adventurous eater he once was?
